Beer 365- #219 Stone Double Bastard Ale
Pours a mahogany brown with reddish hue. The head is thick ,tan and quick to disappear. Nose is big and complex, booze up front with fruity hop tones and caramel malt. Mouth is thick, chewy and coating with carbonation that struggles to get through. Flavors are aggressive as one would imagine. Hops and heat at first, bready sweet malt follows, finish is lingering hops bitterness. This is a beer to buy and hold for a year or two, that is if you have the will power to wait to drink it. (10.5% ABV)
