I love the shoulder month of September when the days are sunny and warm,
the evenings cool off, the leaves begin to change color (not to mention
the kids go back to school), and earthy vegetables along with fresh
apples abound. However, I hang on to a few summer sippers such as rose,
because it is so versatile and an easy transition wine from light,
crisp, unoaked whites to full-bodied, bold reds. The Chateau Pradeaux
Bandol rose is one the of the richest roses of France--dry, full-bodied,
with some red fruit and floral aromas. It is a serious rose with
enough complexity and structure to ease you back into richer reds. Here
are my six favorite September Sippers to enjoy throughout the month as
you celebrate the change of seasons. ~Monica McCall
