Beer 365 # 210 Rogue Northwestern Ale
First off I wasn't expecting much from this. Thought it was going to be more of a gimmick than a drinkable beer. I guess I should have had more faith in Rogue. Pours a cloudy auburn /amber brown with nice forming off white head. Those nose is dominated by the hops, mostly citrus, the malt slips through, but only slightly. Well balanced mouth, medium in body but nicely carbonated to give it ample life. Flavors are complex but well proportioned. Citrus, pine and earth in the hops with sweet, toasty caramel malt. Quite enjoyable for a gimmicky beer. (6.2% ABV)
