Beer for Dessert: Kriek Lambic, Espresso Stout, Chocolate Seduction

Our cooler is full of unique, expertly crafted beers. While browsing the racks and tasting through my fair share, I have found quite a few that mirror my favorite desserts. So I figure, why not indulge in a little after dinner libation? Treat yourself to a glass of beer in lieu of a piece of pie or chocolate cake.
Cherry Pie: Cherish Kriek Lambic. Naturally, a Lambic has a dry, sour flavor. With addition of cherries during fermentation the sourness is balanced by the sweetness of the fruit. The end result is cherry pie in liquid form... a refreshingly pleasant, thirst quenching, beer.

For the Coffee Enthusiast: Hitachino Espresso Stout. This beer is brewed with real espresso beans providing bitter, coffee-like flavors. The base for this brew is a Russian Imperial Stout. This lends a hefty amount of roasted, chocolate, and caramel malt character to the finished product. At 7.5% alc/vol this tasty treat is one to share with friends.

Chocolate Cake: Ommegang Seduction. This luxuriously savory brew will seduce your palate with its dark and chocolate malt flavors. Its tempting, toasty profile and chocolatey flavors are a result of 5 dark barely malts. It is hard to resist this decadent brew.
