You're invited! Join me this weekend at the first annual
Branchville Charity Bocce Tournament. The battle for the esteemed title
of Branchville Champion Bocce Team will be waged Saturday, September 12
on the Ancona bocce court. Nine teams representing various local
charities will play in the name of fun and fundraising. Our friend's at
Tusk & Cup will have breakfast sandwiches, pastries and beverages
available in the morning, and the town's new addition, the Tivoli Mobile
Pizza Truck, will be in the parking lot for the duration of the
afternoon festivities, offering pizza, calzones and more. Check out the

FIRST ANNUAL BRANCHVILLE CHARITY BOCCE TOURNAMENT

You are invited to attend this FREE event!
WHAT: Eight teams representing various local charitable organizations will play in the First Annual Branchville Charity Bocce Tournament, hosted by Mitch Ancona and Ancona's Wines & Liquors
WHO: Co-ed teams of four will play, representing:
Ann's Place
Branchville Civic Association
The Georgetown Volunteer Fire Department
Redding's Mark Twain Library
The Ridgefield Library
The Ridgefield Volunteer Fire Department
The Wilton Library
Women's Center of Greater Danbury
WHEN: Saturday, September 12, beginning at 8 am
WHERE: The Ancona Bocce Court, 720 Branchville Road, Ridgefield, CT.
The court is located at the front of the Ancona's Wines and Liquor Store parking lot, at the intersection of Route 7 & Route 102.
WHY: In the name of fun and fundraising
Additional background info:
The top four teams will receive donations made to their charities:
1st Place: $1200; 2nd place: $600; 3rd place: $300; 4th place: $200.
There will also be a special Team Spirit Award of $300
Four teams will play a "round robin" in the morning, and the others will play in the afternoon. The top two teams from each set will play in the Championship Rounds.
