Pours a dark brown with tan fluffy head. Nose is a balance of sweet chocolate and burnt coffee. The mouth is mid-weight with really mellow carbonation. The flavors follow the nose but are a little meek and mild. (5.4% ABV)

Beer 355 # 142 Samuel Smith's Taddy Porter
Pours an opaque brown at the core with cola coloring at the edges, nice fluffy dark tan head. Strong nose of dark bread, coffee, mocha, tootsie roll, milk chocolate. Medium to full bodied with just the right amount of movement. Complex flavors of roasted malt, dark chocolate, damp extinguished fire wood, caramel... the bitter dark chocolate with a hint of smoke lingers on the long finish. (5% ABV)

Beer 365 7/365 Smuttynose Porter
Beer 365- Beer #7 Smuttynose Robust Porter
Another chily, gray day, another heavier malt beverage. I'm still not 100% happy with this shot. Oh well tomorrow will bring that chance to do it all over again.
PS The porter was very nice, heavy but not too filling. Great smokiness to the nose that carries through to the palate. Great semi-sweet malt with a clean finish. (5.7 ABV)
