Pours an opaque black with brown head that isn't around very long. Nose is rich and inviting. A solid dose of smokey peat mingles with coffee, chocolate, and roasted malt. The mouth is full and coating with very little activity from the carbonation. The flavors follow the nose to a T. If you are not a scotch fan (especially smokey, peaty scotch) than this brew might not be for you. A true sipper! (10% ABV)

Beer 365 #212- Brewdog Riptide Stout
Pours a dark brown almost black with very little head that quickly recedes. Faint nose of molasses, chocolate and coffee. The mouth is lighter than one would expect/want from this style, carbonation is minimalistic. Flavor follows the nose nicely with the addition of a touch of smokiness. (8.0% ABV)

Pours a dark, dark brown with thin coffee colored head. Nose is big smokey and dense malt. Mouth feel is thick and oily with soft bubbles. The smoke comes through on the palate as well. Chocolate, coffee, biscuit and biter earth counter balance the smokiness. Very flavorful! (6.6% ABV)

I drank this beer for one reason only... to put out the fire. See the burrito to the right? Well I'm a huge fan of super hot, spicy food. That burrito was the hottest I've ever had. The Guinness did it's job. It's thicker consistency extinguished the fire then coated to prepare me for the next round.

PS If you're local check out the Burrito Shack on Rte 7 in Wilton, they serve a mean burrito. If you want it hot let them know you read this and you want the "Mitch Special".

Pours a dark syrupy brown with thin tan head. (looks a little like Jagermeister) The powerful nose is what you would expect, coffee, dark chocolate, caramel, black coffee, and hints of cherry. The mouth is thick and dense, the beer clings to the side of the glass. Very intricate flavors of dark chocolate, cherry, black coffee weave in out out. Alluring bitter dark chocolate finish makes you want to take another sip. There is a little warmth from this beer that reminds you that it is 11% ABV!!

Beer 365- #32 Long Trail Brewmaster Coffee Stout Dense and really thick, you have to pour it as harshly as possible to get a head. Slight hints of mocha on the nose. Thick creamy mouth with loads of bitter smokey flavor.
Not sure where the coffee is, it must be there because it's on the label but it's tough to find on the palate. (8 % ABV)
