Mitch's Musings: Feels Like Summer

Get Out There And Work Up A Thirst
The weather has been great as of late.
(this was taken at Mnt Lakes Park)

 Taste These Thirst Quenchers
We just decided to throw an impromptu beer tasting at our Ridgefield store tomorrow night from 3pm-6pm. All local-ish brews - RI (GreySail) and NH (Agner & Wolf).

Triple Decker
Eddie put his MacGyver hat on yesterday and built this "upper deck" in our bubbly section. You can never have too many Champagnes!

Olga For Days
We do love our Cabernet Franc! We just received our library allocation from iconic Loire producer Olga Raffault. (11 vintages!)
Bourbon Part Two
Last week we pulled the trigger on our first single barrel bourbon offering. This week we received samples from a different distiller. We'll be tasting through these barrel sample bourbons to pick (another) perfect barrel to buy. Stay tuned!

'Tis The Season (3)
Rose of the week. '14 Lieu Dit Rose of Pinot Noir
"A saignée of Pinot Noir from various sites in Santa Barbara County. Tank fermented and then left in neutral barrels for 5 months before being racked back out to tank and bottled." Translation: Lightly tinted juice bled off of their Pinot Noir equates to a very delicate but intricate rose. I'm really loving the wines from these guys. All are great quality!
