One of my standard go to beverages. Great malt, great hops... just strong enough without making me nap after drinking a couple. (9% ABV)

Beer 365- Beer #13 Southampton Publick House IPA.

This is my reality.... quite often I enjoy a beverage while helping feed one or both of my daughters. I have my bottle...they have theirs. Good IPA. Not stellar, good. Nice malt, hops balance, seemed a little tired, would love to try this one on tap at the Publick House. (6.5% ABV)

Shot this in a hurry... pick a safe location in my kitchen to capture this "safe" pale ale. Similar to Southern Tier P&M... not the most memorable of pale ales. Decent balance, just a bit watered down. (5.5% ABV)

Later at home doing work that should have been done at the office. Not a very memorable ale. Not a bad ale just nothing special. Clean, minimal nose, nice color and head. Toned down fruit and hops, a bit watery. Nice colorful label?! (5.6% ABV)

Discovered this beer last year, it quickly became my favorite IPA for last Summer. I just found it back in my area. Great floral notes on the nose, sweet fruit up front with a wonderful bitter hops as a counter balance. (8% ABV)
FYI beer gets foamy when you play hopscotch.

Sometimes you have to finish your day with a beer at your desk. Lagunitas is one of my favorite breweries. This, their "correction ale" is new to me. Nice change of pace for these guys, only 6.3%, great straight forward American Pale Ale. Nothing extreme about it. Clean and crisp with good fruit and a nice inviting hoppy finish. (6.3% ABV)

Beer 365- Beer #8 Long Trail Double Bag... Came inside for today's shot. Played with different lighting. Happy with the shot, although I need to switch things up soon...
The beer was OK at best. I used to enjoy this beer when I lived in Vt. Haven't had it in a while, it lacked character. Nice malty notes, good warmth from the extra alcohol, just a bit bland and boring. (7.2% ABV)

Another chily, gray day, another heavier malt beverage. I'm still not 100% happy with this shot. Oh well tomorrow will bring that chance to do it all over again.
PS The porter was very nice, heavy but not too filling. Great smokiness to the nose that carries through to the palate. Great semi-sweet malt with a clean finish. (5.7 ABV)

Beer 365- Beer #6 Harviestoun "Old Engine Oil" Black Ale

Chilly day for April (it hailed)... wanted something dense and warming... this did the trick. You would think by it's looks that this beer would be thick and viscous but it's not. It does have a ton of flavor, but that flavor is supported by a lighter style ale. Dark toasty semi-sweet malt is the main flavor, the slightly bitter dark chocolate finih is what makes you take another sip. Wonderful! (6% ABV)

Classic!
The wine drinkers beer. Made with a certain amount of pinot noir juice then aged in used pinot barrels. Great complexity throughout. Dry and crisp with warming notes throughout. Long lingering finish. AWESOME! (10% ABV)

Not a huge fan of Lagers, I am a fan of SN though.... this just arrived so I figured I would try it early.... I'll wait to delve into the other summer beers until it gets a little warmer 'round here.(5% ABV)

Dogfish Head Aprihop

Big fan of DFH... I've enjoyed this in past years, not so much this year. Over the top sourness like an extreme Saison... no real clear apricot nor any IPA. Perhaps next year...(7% ABV)

Always a favorite of mine.... rich and intricate without being dense and cloying. Great reactive mouth feel, a real treat! (8.5% ABV)
