Pours a dark amber/red with thick clingy tan head. The nose is warming with notes of sweet caramel malt and crisp piney hops. The feel was rich and dense with just the right amount of carbonation. Flavor started out sweet and malty but the hops countered nicely near the mid-palate to create a nice balance. (9% ABV)

Pours a golden orange color with nice sticky dirty white head. Nice fresh nose of citrus and piney hops with caramel malt that tries to sneak through. The body is light with crisp carbonation. Pine hops lead the way but release control to citrus hops and a nice malt backbone. Very Drinkable! (9.2% ABV)

Pours a hazy golden yellow with quick forming white head. Nose has banana and clove over a wheat base. Medium bodied in weight with good carbonation. Flavors are true to the style but just amplified a bit, clove, banana, wheat flavors all all present along with a little heat from the alcohol. (8% ABV)

Pours a dark, dark brown with thin coffee colored head. Nose is big smokey and dense malt. Mouth feel is thick and oily with soft bubbles. The smoke comes through on the palate as well. Chocolate, coffee, biscuit and biter earth counter balance the smokiness. Very flavorful! (6.6% ABV)

Pours a dark brown with very reactive dirty white head. Roast malt nose with bits of clove, banana and bread thrown in for good measure. Mouth is light with more than ample carbonation. Slightly wheaty malt at first that transitions just to malt, notes of spicy banana pop up near the finish. (5.6% ABV)

Pours a hazy golden orange with wispy white head. Nose is chock full of yeast and a mixed medley of fruit (banana, apple, grape). Mouth is light in body with crisp carbonation. Flavors of sweet fruit (you can find the grapes) marry a slightly spicy yeast, the finish is dry and spicy. (9% ABV)

Quite often I am asked to taste friend's homebrews. Many of them are good, few of them are memorable. Oan Gat is definitely memorable. Pours an unfiltered dark amber with nicely forming off-white head. Nose is slightly bready with some dark fruit and spice peeking through. The body is medium with nice, active carbonation. Flavors are intricate yet subtle. Plum like fruit, mild brown sugar and complex spices rest nicely on a bed of malt. Tasty! Chris- feel free to drop off more. (7.3% ABV)

Pours a blurry burnt orange with a big, fluffy white head. Nose is lemon biscuits with herbs sprinkled on top. Mouth is light and active. Flavor starts with slightly tart apple that is quickly joined by spice and honey notes. (6.5% ABV)

Pours an evil opaque black with quickly disapating tan head. The nose is a complex medely od dried dark fruits, chocolate and coffee. The mouth feel is dense and slippery with meek carbonation. Flavors follow the nose, very complex but very well balanced. (8.9% ABV)

Pours a copper red color with a lethargic tan head. Sweet fruity nose, some bready malt, some alcohol. Mouth is oily with slow moving carbonation. Sweet sticky malt right away with piny hops quickly following. The hops are a bit strong for the style, drinks more like a DIPA. (10% ABV)

Nose is nicely subdued, with subtle hints of spice and pumpkin. Mouth is medium in body with ample carbonation. Flavors are mellow, nice malt base with cinnamon, clove and pumpkin flavors layered on top. (7% ABV)

Pours a hazy pale yellow color with ample white head. Mild nose of light hops and mellow malt. Mouth feel is light and crisp with good carbonation. Flavors are slightly sweet at first and then fades to a clean crisp slightly bitter finish. (5% ABV)

Pours a rusty orange with thin lacking off white head. The nose is sweet, bready, boozy. The mouth is medium in body and quite still. Complex flavors that are all over the place, walnuts, vanilla cake, Madeira, coriander, honey. The finish long and warming. (12% ABV)

Pours a hazy golden yellow with a quick head that disappears is seconds. The nose is slightly fruity with hints of banana and apple. The mouth is light, crisp and very reactive. Nice mix of flavors- banana, spice (clove, coriander), apple, raisins. A slight warmth throughout just to remind you of it's strength. (9.5% ABV)

The color is obvious since it comes in a clear bottle (yikes). Burnt golden with thin, hard to find off white head. Very complex nose of vanilla, scotch, toasty oak, butter. Mouth is firm and still. The flavors paired nicely with the nose, vanilla, butterscotch candy nice and sweet but not over the top. The finish is mildly sweet and very inviting. (6.6% ABV)

Pours a rusty orange color with fluffy white head that lasts and laces. Nose is citrus with hints of sweet caramel malt. Mouth is somewhat dense with mild carbonation. The flavor is less hoppy than one might think. Malt is solid and sweet with the pine/citrus hop hung nicely upon it. Finish is sweet but not cloying. (10% ABV)

Nice gold/amber color with sticky off white head. Nose is all hopped up, mostly pine with some citrus. Mouth is light and nimble with crisp carbonation. Dry, bitter hops right upfront, no real noticeable malt, hoppy dry, finish. (6.1% ABV)

Pours a darker amber with off white head. Nose has mild spicy hops, some citrus, and a touch of mellow malt. The mouth is rich in feel with balancing bubbles. The flavor is very well balanced between the hops and the malt. Don't get me wrong though, the hops are the focal point and stars of this beverage. Very Nice! (6.2% ABV)

Pours a clear light straw color with active carbonation but lacking head. Nose is mild and is dominated by the typical mass-produced adjunct odor. The body is light. The flavors are mild corn/wheat, I was looking for the "kiss of hops" but never found it. (?% ABV)

Pours a nice amber color with clingy, chunky dirty white head. Nose is clean and fresh with pine, citrus hops up front. The malt is there, but well hidden. The mouth is medium in body and has a really nice creaminess to it. The carbonation is just right. Flavors are present but not aggressive. Very well integrated complex hop notes up front (pineapple, citrus, pine) the malt isn't all that noticable but you know it's there, it shows the most near the finish as it fades leaving a nice bitter finish. Very Good! (6.7% ABV)

Pours a slightly hazy golden/orange with fluffy dirty white head. Nose is muted hops (citrus/pine/floral). Mouth is somewhat creamy with good carbonation to give it nice life. Noticeable malt upfront before the hops kick in. Nice complexity of flavors, clean bitter finish. Tasty! (6.9% ABV)

Pours an almost opaque dark amber with nice tan head. Nose that is chock full of sweet, toasty malt. Somewhat light in body with subtle carbonation. The taste follows the nose, nice biscuity sweet malt that morphs to a nice spicy hop note at the finish.(6.1% ABV)

Amber orange in color with nice, firm, off-white head. Nose is floral/citrus hops, smells a little like cheap OJ. Mouth is somewhat dense with good carbonation. Flavors are better balance than the Little Sumpin' , which I found to be a bit too citrusy. This has nice hops with a solid malt backbone. Finish is nice and bitter. (8.7% ABV)

Pours a clear light orange with ample white head. Nose is light, with some hop characteristics showing through. Mouthfeel is pretty light with good carbonation. Flavors are well balanced, nice mild pine/citrus hop offset by mellow malt. My favorite session IPA. (5.9% ABV)

Pours a red tinted brown with nice fluffy head. Strong aromas of pineapple, citrus, wood and sweet malt. The mouth is dense without being cloying, the nice carbonation keeps it feeling light. Flavor is what one would expect, hops, hops, and more hops. Pine, citrus (pineapple, grapefruit), spicy, the oak seems to have accentuated the hop characters, the malt is underlying and supports the hop party well. Nice clean bitter finish.(7.2% ABV)
